Booking Digitonal

by andy.dtnl Email

Digitonal come in a variety of configurations for live or DJ bookings. The most popular setups are listed below. Costs depend on what you're running but we're very flexible. As a guide - think £100 for each musician and expenses on top. But whatever your event, drop us a line and we can generally sort something out :o)

Full Digitonal band

The full Digitonal band is a moveable lineup, normally consisting of Andy (clarinet/electronics), Josh (beats), Samy (violin) and Kat (harp). The most dynamic and fully featured Digitonal live experience, this lineup is pretty much the heart of our sound and what we've been trying to achieve in live electronic music. With no set arrangements, we play the Digitonal material with healthy bits of improvisation and in a more "band" like setting. Whilst the technical requirements and costs are a little more complex than most live electronica outfits, the benefit is in a unique live experience. Add visuals for even more beauty.

Solo Laptop session

For smaller spaces, gigs further afield where travel budgets are limited or clubs and events more geared towards pure electronica, Andy can also perform on his own, or with a single instrumentalist. We have performed at many nights like this, including Festinho, Drop Beats not Bombs at the Custard Factory, Glitchnight at The Vibe Bar, The Big Chill House, Ginglik and The Synergy Project at SE1, not to mention all over Europe and the US. Great for more beats-orientated nights, although we can keep it chilled if that's your preference :o). Andy has done this either on his own, or with any of the rest of the lineup individually.

Digitonal vs Posthuman

This is a bit of a side project which involves Josh and Andy joining forces to present a harder-edged, acid-tinged sound which veers from crunchy electronica to dancefloor fare. It went down particularly well at Bloc in 2008 and has also taken to the stage at Corsica Studios, The Big Chill House and many more club based events.
